Auction Results

Just wanted to let you all know that our monthly snack was one of the higher bids this year at the mission auction. I believe that it went to the buliders class (will have to check on that), and it brought in $140 dollars.

Mack and Shack rhyme . . . better write that one down for discussion . . .

Making good progress on the Shack. So far, definitely not a prop-up-the-couch book. If you want, edit this post or leave comments w/ discussion topics for Sunday. Remember, first 3 chapters only. Read further if you want but don't spoil the story for everyone else. I'm assuming that Andy, with his love of all works fiction, is several chapters ahead and, Brad, with his love of prose in general, is not only finished reading the book but through writing several alternate endings.

Shack

We ordered a few copies of the shack but they won't be in until Tuesday . . . So, maybe a Nooma video on Sunday, assuming others won't have their books yet either?

Don't forget about Chili and Euchre on Saturday. Be there at 4:30 to help set up if you can.

Matt & Lynne's grandma Lashley passed away this afternoon. please keep the family in your prayers.

The rest of the family are still in FLA - heading back soon.

Lynne and her dad were there to be with grandma before she passed away.

prayer request - preterm labor

hello again..

just wanted to ask you all to pray for my friend Katie .. she is a little over 29 weeks pregnant & experiencing preterm labor & is 70% thinned .. she goes back to the doc tomorrow to see if the contractions have stopped. she also just found out she failed her glucose test, so she is pretty shaky.

please pray that she can make it another month so her little boy can be healthy ... and all you women who i know have experienced this, any pointers would be great :)

another prayer request

hey everyone. i just wanted to ask that you continue to pray for my aunt ellie. she has been fighting leukemia, a broken arm, and who knows what else. i don't have a lot of details, but i heard that she is pretty much fighting for her life at this point. last i heard they were going to try to paralyze her in order to get a ventilator in. my dad & ann just flew out to vegas to be with her for the weekend. so, it's pretty critical right now...

Prayer Request

Yesterday, a co-worker of mine found out that one of her neighbors son's hung himself. Her daughters both know him. He is a 16 year old from Louisville. As of yesterday he was at the hospital on a vent and with brain damage. The doctors said that it will be a miracle if he lives. Please pray for their family. He has a younger sister as well that stays at my co-workers house a lot.
