Today we discussed Lesson #7 on the "new birth". Next week we will start into lesson #8. I am pretty sure that we will be starting into the financial peace study the first Sunday in September.

First Annual Euchre Tournament & Chili Cook-off
Sponsored by The Great Expectations Class

When: Saturday, September 27, 2008
Where: Fellowship Hall
Time: 5:30 – Chili Cook-off / 6:00 – Euchre Tournament
Why: To raise money for the Talent Quest & to have a fun night out
Details:
Ø Singles & Teams are both welcome for the Euchre Tournament
Ø Free babysitting is available with dinner provided for the kids!
Ø Bring your favorite pot of chili to enter the chili cook-off (optional)
Ø Come hungry! There will be lots of chili, snacks, drinks, and dessert
Ø Prizes awarded for Euchre and Chili Cook-off winners
Ø Tickets are $5/person & can be purchased after church beginning Sept. 7th

Sunday August 3rd

Today we discussed plans for the Euchre/Chili night.

Bryan and Robin's house hunting
Brad and Krystal's 5 year anniversary
Sherri's surgery went well (Brad and Bryan's mom)
Greg's test came back good
Wes's close call with a fall
Stacey and Andy getting a house

Sunday July 20th

There weren't too many of us in attendance this week (many were serving in various teaching positions in the church) but we went ahead with some planning for the Euchre/ Chili cook-off and also discussed the sermon section of lesson 6. I believe we are going to wrap up lesson 6 next week and possibly begin lesson 7.

Sunday July 13th

Today we discussed the questions from lesson #6 and we are hoping to start into the sermon next week.
